Big Night For The Scots On Matt Stafford Jersey Retirement #7

Sold Out crowd at Highlander stadium, as the undefeated Scouts (2-0) take on undefeated Lake Highland Wildcats (2-0). Fans packed the stadium awaiting the retirement jersey of Super Bowl champ Matthew Stafford. Highland Park Scots used that energy to jump out to a 14-0 lead over the Wildcats. The Wildcats settled in late first quarter by answering with a touchdown making the game 14-7 with two minutes left on the clock. Highland Park Scots took full advantage of those two minutes and quickly scored another touchdown making the game 21-7 to end the first quarter.

Just about four minutes into the second quarter Lake Highlands answer the call by adding a 9 yard touchdown run from #3 Deonte Dean, making the game 14-21 as #20 Shallum Peter knocks through the extra point. We all know Highland Park does not shy away from scoring points, they did so in two minutes by marching back down the and adding 26 yard rushing TD. Now with the score being 14-28 Highland Park Scots, it felt like they were starting to take over the game at this point. Lake Highland Wildcats struggle to move ball on their possession giving the ball back to the Scots. The Scots end up pinning the Wildcats deep in the own territory the 5 yard with a great kick by Jake Tanzy. With Lake Highlands being back up on their own goal line, it did turn into a safety. Highland Park Scots now go into halftime with 14-30 lead over the Wildcats.

Highland Park did not let up coming out of halftime after honoring Matthew Stafford the Scots scored 22 unanswered points in the third quarter and Lake Highlands scoring one more time in the fourth quarter. The Scots walk away with a victory 52-21. Highland Park is now 3-0 headed to Irving next week. .
